CTRL BFA Exhibition Invitation
Invitation design for a BFA Graphic Design exhibition titled CTRL (Control) targeting professional designers. The design takes inspiration from microchips and crypto themes. A dark black base layered with electric blue and amber circuit-like graphics to evoke the visual language of coded systems and decentralized networks.
3.75 x 7.25 inches

The layout is driven by sharp geometry and intentional die-cuts, creating an interactive unfolding experience that mirrors the concept of unlocking encrypted data. The logo’s typography is fragmented and crafted from scratch, reflecting digital interfaces and glitch-inspired fonts, while the color palette focuses on contrast, hierarchy, and legibility.
DESIGN PROCESS
The objective of this project was to create an invitation for a BFA Graphic Design exhibition, culminating in a design that could serve as the main invitation for the event. Building on the selected theme, “CTRL” (Control), I developed a concept inspired by the aesthetics of microchips and cryptocurrency.
To bring the concept to life, I began with comprehensive sketches, carefully considering whether the invitation would function as a folded piece or a postcard, and showing all surfaces including front, back, and inside panels. Each sketch accounted for proportions and content placement, while noting any specialty design processes such as die-cuts, embossing, metallic finishes, or varnishes. I ensured that practical elements like the return address and self-mailing functionality were clearly indicated.

Once the concept was finalized, I moved into production, creating mockups, and a refined, full-size printed version of the invitation. I selected paper, colors, and finishes with precision, ensuring that the final piece could fit standard envelopes. Every element, from typography to layout, was carefully planned and executed, and the final piece brings together concept, design, and production into a cohesive, polished product ready for the exhibition.
